When a rifle has delivered time and time again, it is not so easily replaced.  

Here’s Gary’s story: 

“I first met John Davidson, of Southpaw Precision LLC, when he agreed to facilitate an online rifle purchase. I went to pick up the rifle and was greeted with a handshake and a smile. With paper work completed we visited about rifles and shooting. He then offered to show me his shop and a few of the rifles he was building. A vertical mill and a lathe with accessories along with rifle barrel blanks and composite stocks were all neatly organized. Two finished rifles were on the rack and two others in progress. I shared with John that I was interested in getting my Weatherby Vanguard re-barreled.  A few weeks earlier, another individual tried unsuccessfully to drill out a 6-48 scope base screw and inadvertently drilled thru the receiver into the barrel chamber. Of course the only solution was a new barrel. John volunteered his services to assist me in getting my rifle repaired.  A new Douglas stainless steel barrel was ordered and contoured to match my original barrel. The new barrel was threaded to the factory metric specs, chambered in .300 Win Mag, muzzle crowned, and blued.  A new Timney Trigger was also installed. John corrected the damaged scope base screw hole which required a custom made 10-32 stainless steel screw to be utilized.  This screw was recessed in the new Talley rings.  With my scope mounted, John sighted it in for me so that it was ‘ready to hunt’ when I picked it up. I was very impressed with the service Southpaw Precision did for me to get my primary hunting rifle back in service. His operation is First Class."
